ENDEMIXIT is now an animation 04.10.2021

Raising public awareness on the importance of preserving biodiversity, particularly endemism such as the Italian unique biological heritages, and how genetics helps to this goal is crucial for effective and long-term conservation efforts and one of the aims of the ENDEMIXIT project. The key is to develop effective communication tools such as social media videos. We have created an animation summarizing why biodiversity is at risk, the benefit of genetic and genomics approaches, the five Italian endemic species that we study and the main aims of our project. The Italian version of the ENDEMIXIT video is now available on this blog and YouTube (https://youtu.be/AkAj63_KixA); the English version will be released soon.
